Accommodation for the SWS challenge can be booked through Hotel Maestral. Simply download one of the hotel reservation forms and choose the accommodation that you desire. Rooms are at a first come first serve basis.

Hotel Information:

There will be a free shuttle service set up between the conference Hotel (Hotel Maestral) and the contracted hotels listed on the reservation form at the price of 20 EUR each way. The transfer will be provided from the airports in Podgorica, Tivat and Dubrovnik (Croatia) to Maestral Hotel. If you would like to have the transfer please send your travel details directly to ilona.zaremba@deri.org till May 5th (Friday).

Airport and Plane Information:

In Montenegro there are 2 International airports: Podgorica and Tivat. Also there is International airport of Cilipi located in Dubrovnik (Republic of Croatia) in near vicinity of Montenegro (from Cilipi to border of Montenegro there are only 16 km).

Flying to Dubrovnik and Podgorice from Vienna by Austrian Airlines (http://www.aua.com) and from Frankfurt by Montenegro Airlines (http://www.montenegroairlines.com) is often the easiest and mostly likely the cheapest way to get to Budva. Reasonable rates are still available.

Bus service will be provided from the following airports: Dubrovnik, Tivat, and Podgorica to the contracted hotels. There is a fee of 20€ per person, each way.

Airport of Cilipi (Dubrovnik, Croatia) is 25 kilometers far from Herceg Novi and there are for tourists arriving through this airport, organized transfer by buses to all tourist destinations in Montenegro.

Airport Podgorica is located 11 km from capital city of Montenegro. Every day there are scheduled flights to Belgrade as well as to various European and world destinations. During summer season there are many charter flights and air connections to all major cities of the world.

Airport Tivat is only 20km away from tourist metropolitan of Budva and less than 10 kilometers from Kotor. There are daily flights to Belgrade as well as to different European destinations. During summer season there are charter flights to major cities of Europe and world.

There are two national companies having scheduled flights to airports of Podgorica and Tivat, they are: Montenegro airlines and JAT. At their web presentations you can see their timetables and also other important information.

Montenegro Airlines also has a flight from Paris to Tivat: Flight YM2237 leaves Paris at 14:00 and arrives at Tivat at 16:40.

You have to call a Montenegro Airlines office to make a reservation. Then you have to call the Paris office to arrange to pick up your ticket as there is no way to reserve a flight on the web or to use your credit card on the phone. The two Paris numbers are +33 1 44 21 8363 and +33 1 70 36 1907

Montenegro Airlines does not offer flights from Frankfurt to Tivat.

Cosmos flights from Manchester, Gatwick, UK, to Tivat - Only in 2007 : Web announcement: http://news.cheapflights.co.uk/flights/2005/09/cosmos_announce.html Charter airline Cosmos will begin direct flights to Tivat from Manchester and London Gatwick from May 23, 2006.

JAT, is national air company of Serbia. It has regular flights Podgorica - Belgrade, Tivat - Belgrade. This company has a number of scheduled flights to important centers in Europe as well as charter flights during season.

There are several hundred planes that land at the Podgorica and Tivat airports every day during the high season, with visitors from around the world. A large number of passenger ships dock in the port of Bar and the many marinas along the whole coastal zone are ready to welcome small and medium size yachts.

Also, Lufthansa has daily flights from Munich to Bari.

Ferry Information

See the timetable: http://www.montenegrolines.net/timetable.htm The St. Stefan leaves at 10pm each day and arrives at the other side at 7am. There are also trips that are not overnight, leaving at 12pm and arriving at 7pm.|
